| This beautiful necklace evokes the colors and
images of the Southwest. The colors of the cabochon are reminiscent of the
sun setting in the American desert. The bands of brown, gold and rust in
the tiger’s eye beads used in the necklace are another element reinforcing
this image. The necklace is 18 in. long. The Imperial Jasper cabochon is
triangular with bands of yellow-green and brown. A band of brown runs
through the middle of the cabochon. The fringe is iridescent brown seed
beads finished with chips of pale yellow-green amber. The cabochon is
beaded with copper, brown and hematite seed beads. The finished cabochon
is 2.75 in. wide by 1.75 in. high. The longest part of the fringe is 0.75
in. The clasp is a gold filled toggle. |
